Steering Committee Members

The Wills for Heroes Steering Committee guides the program to its continued success. They volunteer their time not only in its strategic planning but to coordinating events, recruiting other volunteers and training others. We thank them for their dedication to helping Arizona's first responders.

Stasy Click

Stasy Click is involved in the community in a variety of areas. In the legal community she was a commissioner for the Governor’s Commission on Preventing Violence against Women, she is the current chairperson of the Arizona State Bar Communications Advisory Committee, and she also served as a Pro Temp Magistrate for the City of Gilbert Municipal Court. She is on the Wills for Heroes Foundation, as well as serving as the Departmental liaison for the Wills for Heroes program. She also mentors new law students through the Maricopa County Bar Association.
 
Stasy is currently in private practice and the owner of the Law Office of Stasy Click in Chandler, Arizona. Her prior experience consists of being a prosecutor for both Pima and Maricopa counties and being an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix in the area of Criminal Law and Procedure.  Stasy founded the Victims Legal Assistance Project at the ASU College of Law which she ran for 3 years prior to her departure to private practice. She has been in private practice for the last five years, practicing in the areas of civil, criminal and domestic relations law
 
B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in 1990, graduating cum laude. Immediately thereafter, she entered the University of Arizona Law School where she earned a Juris Doctor in 1993, achieving the Dean’s List and recognition as a Merit Scholar.
 
Stasy has been recognized as one of the top pro bono attorneys in Arizona, and is a frequent volunteer for Community Legal Services and the Wills for Heroes program.
 
Stasy is married to Lieutenant James Click of the Tempe Police Department, and is the mother to three great kids ages 16, 12 and 10.
