On the 8-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, representing the Obama Administration, and Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell honored the Wills for Heroes program as a national symbol of volunteerism. At a press conference commemorating the end of President Obama’s United We Serve initiative and honoring another State Bar of Pennsylvania program, both Secretary LaHood and Governor Rendell said that there was “no better example of the spirit of volunteerism” than Wills for Heroes.
